About Clean Scene Bio
Biohazard Cleaning Company in Oxfordshire

How Personal Loss Led to Professional Purpose:

Clean Scene Bio emerged from our recognition that families and communities need more than just technical cleanup services – they need compassionate professionals who truly understand what they’re going through. Our journey into biohazard cleaning wasn’t just professional development; it was a calling born from personal experience with loss, trauma, and witnessing firsthand the critical need for sensitive, expert cleanup services.

Through our established sister business C Priest & Daughter Cleaning Services, we had built over 20 years of experience in property cleaning and restoration. However, it was our personal experiences with family loss and trauma that showed us the vital importance of specialised biohazard cleanup services delivered with genuine compassion and understanding.

In 2025, we completed our CPD accredited Biohazard & Specialist Cleaning Course, combining our extensive cleaning background with professional trauma cleanup training to launch Clean Scene Bio – a company that serves not just as technical experts, but as compassionate supporters during life’s most challenging moments.

Meet Libby Priest

Born in Gateshead, I moved south at age 14 – an early experience of significant life change that taught me resilience and adaptability. My first work experience with a catering company serving a professional football club introduced me to critical hygiene standards and systematic cleaning protocols.

Business Leadership & Family Care: From age 16, I managed our family business and completed an NVQ in Business Administration. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, I managed the business from home while ensuring our house met the highest hygiene standards required during his treatment. This experience taught me the critical importance of sanitisation in healthcare environments.

Professional Evolution: When COVID forced business changes, mam and I launched  C Priest & Daughter Cleaning Services. Through our clients, we discovered we were handling complex situations like hoarding clearances and probate work – situations requiring sensitivity and specialised knowledge.

Personal Understanding: Over recent years, I’ve lost grandparents in care homes and my Uncle Martin, who was found passed away at home. Witnessing the biohazard cleanup process firsthand showed me the critical importance of compassionate, professional trauma cleanup services, leading us to complete our Biohazard & Specialist Cleaning Course in 2025.

Meet Claire Priest

Born in Gateshead, my diverse career began as a high-frequency welder before becoming a mother to Cara, Josh, and Libby. I worked deep cleaning kitchens at QE Hospital during night shifts, learning healthcare-grade sanitisation standards that now inform our infection control services.

Diverse Professional Background: I owned and operated a cafe serving builders and contractors, maintaining the highest hygiene standards. My career took an interesting turn as a Paranormal Investigator, working events across the UK and as a Radio Presenter on Radio Northumberland. This unusual experience taught me to remain calm in unsettling environments – invaluable for trauma cleanup situations.

Moving South & Business Restart: In 2016, I moved to Oxfordshire and later launched C Priest & Daughter Cleaning Services with Libby when COVID changed our circumstances.

Personal Understanding of Loss: In recent years, I’ve lost both parents, my father-in-law, and my brother Martin, who was found passed away at home. My daughter Cara found Martin, and we witnessed firsthand how trauma cleanup specialists handle these sensitive situations. This personal experience reinforced our understanding of what families need during devastating times, leading to our CPD accreditation in Biohazard and Trauma Cleaning.
